Are You Ready For A Disaster?

Statistics show that most of us are not prepared for a disaster. With disasters occurring around the world and broadcast across our multimedia culture, disaster preparedness is on all of our minds. However, most people still have not taken the proper steps to prepare.

Unified Fire Authority agrees with the advice of experts that you should have a minimum of 72 hours (3 full days) of food and water available in the event of a disaster. Additionally, you should plan on having 72 hour kits available to you in your car and accessible if you were to have to evacuate your home quickly. Look below for what is recommended for your 72 hour kit. Disasters happen when we least expect them, cause property damage and injury, and are stressful events. Proper preparation for you and your family can give you great peace of mind in the event of an earthquake, severe winter storm, or other disaster here in Utah.
