Unified Fire Authority CPR Training Information

Thank you for your interest in Unified Fire Authority’s CPR training program. The certification courses we are currently offering in our public classes are: Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider and Heartsaver CPR. Both are two-year certifications through the American Heart Association.

Heartsaver CPR

The Heartsaver CPR course trains general public rescuers to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies with adult, child, and infant victims and covers emergency resuscitation techniques, prevention, and use of barrier devices. The course is designed for the general public rescuer who requires a certification for course completion. The cost of this course is $45.00 (course book included) payable by check or exact cash the evening of class, or by automated credit card payment through our website. Please note that our instructors are unable to make change for cash transactions.

This class is offered at the Salt Lake County Emergency Operations Center located at 3380 S. 900 W. Salt Lake City, UT 84119 (directly west of the Salt Lake County Jail)

Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider Course

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide adult, child and infant CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals. The cost of this course is $45.00 (course book included) payable by check or exact cash the evening of class, or by automated credit card payment through our website. Please note that our instructors are unable to make change for cash payments.

This class is offered at Taylorsville City Hall 2600 West Taylorsville Parkway (5300 South) Taylorsville, UT 84118 and Draper City Hall 1020 East Pioneer Road (12400 South) Draper, UT 84020. Click here for registration for times.

Group CPR Training

Please contact Captain Jeff Cunningham or Tony Espinoza at 801-743-7200 if you are interested in having an American Heart Association certified Instructor come to your facility to teach CPR to groups, medical offices, businesses, etc. We offer group certification courses in Heartsaver CPR, Heartsaver First Aid, and BLS for the Health Care Provider. The fee for this is $45.00 per certification and needs to be a group of 10 or more.

*We currently are not offering BLS Instructor, ACLS or PALS certification courses.
