Unified Fire Authority (UFA) is dedicated to providing the citizens of the greater Salt Lake area with the most efficient, effective and professional service possible in the areas of fire protection, medical and emergency services.

Every day, Unified Fire Authority’s area is staffed with at least 96 personnel ready to respond to any type of an emergency. UFA has 21 Ambulances with Paramedics that are trained to provide Advanced Life Support for any medical emergency. All UFA firefighters are EMT-B certified to provided Basic Life Support as well.

UFA has 15 Engine Companies responsible for fire extinguishment, six Truck Companies designated to perform ventilation, search and rescue, vehicle extrication ,forcible entry and victim rescue. UFA’s service area is divided into three Battalions. Each Battalion operates under the direction of a Field Battalion Chief who oversee the apparatus, the fire stations and crews, as well as the day to day operations.
