Mission Statement

The mission of Salt Lake County Emergency Management is to establish, coordinate, and maintain County-wide Emergency Management activities and intergovernmental, private, and volunteer partnerships in order to establish sustainable communities and support responses to and recovery from emergencies, as well as collect and disseminate critical information.

Vision

To create an organization that anticipates the impact of potential disasters and emergency situations; possesses the capability to immediately mobilize a dynamic response; and, uses a systematic approach to emergency management that maximizes available resources for reducing hazards, increasing preparation, regionalization of response, and effective restoration of normal life following an emergency.
