It is the mission of the Unified Fire Authority Fire Training Bureau to provide the highest quality training, education and evaluation to our members, facilitating excellence in service to the citizens and visitors of the Salt Lake area.

It is the purpose of UFA Fire Training Bureau to train our personnel in the knowledge , skills and abilities to meet or exceed Unified Fire Authority Standards within the framework of ISO, NFPA, and OSHA requirements.

The training center grounds are situated on approximately 15 acres.

There are:

• 3 classrooms
• 6 Offices, along with kitchen, locker room, and restroom facilities.
• 6 story training tower with a 600 square foot confined space prop located on the first floor.
• 2 story, 2400 square foot Class A burn building.
• 6 bay garage.
• Mobile Command Training Center.
• 1,800 square foot search and rescue prop.
• Trench Prop.
• USAR debris field.
• Truck Operations Prop.
• Haz Mat Lab Prop.
• Sulfuric Acid rail car and SO2 tank prop.
• Flashover Prop.
